The GIANT Company is always seeking talent for our Salaried Management Teams. Our stores are located in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Our family of brands include GIANT, MARTIN'S, GIANT Heirloom Market, GIANT Direct and MARTIN'S Direct. We are based in Carlisle, PA.
The Associate oversees the operation of the store, conducts and attends meetings, consults and mediates, and does miscellaneous tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Promptly, at the start of the shift, the employee will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
· The Associate uses office equipment for correspondence, entering data, doing reports, scheduling and planning.
· The Associate "walks the store" to observe the operation, makes recommendations, follows-up on issues.
· The Associate does miscellaneous task such as setting up displays, performing tasks in any area.
· The Associate consults, checks, mediates, gathers information, resolves issues.
ERGONOMIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shift Hours: 9 Job Cycles: Continual Max. Lift/carry: <10 lb. Stand 55%, Sit 0%, Walk 45% Category I: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 10 lb. Max. Pull static: <10 lb.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be authorized to work in the US.
· Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with Company policies and safety regulations.
· Must be 18 years of age.
· Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period 90 days.
· Must have earned a High School Diploma, or a GED.
· Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
· Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
· Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
· Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
· Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
